Donna Marie Lively is a lifelong fan of the Mackinac area. She has lived in both peninsulas and currently resides in Petoskey, Michigan. Donna and her husband, Craig, own businesses in both the upper peninsula and northern lower peninsula of Michigan. They have found that home schooling their children, Ellen, Matthew, and Olivia, allows them ample opportunities to experience northern Michigan and especially the Mackinac area. Donna is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where she specialized in children’s literature, science and pedagogy. In addition to her interest in the Mackinac area, Donna enjoys historical research, exploring, archery, and needle crafts.
