Author Lisa Oliver Monroe and her book, Williamsburg: With Jamestown and Yorktown, America’s Historic Triangle, were featured on July 23 in the Daily Press, a Newport News-area newspaper.

Columnists Dan Parsons and Tyra Vaughn says that the series “aims to provide information about specific locations, which are more often found as inclusions in books covering larger regions.”

Monroe’s introduction is also quoted. ”A visit to Williamsburg is, for many visitors, a step back in time,” she says. “While the area offers many of the modern conveniences of a thriving tourist town, it still evokes an historic sense of place. It preserves part of the American legacy.”
