Other Ways to Order

Tourist Town Guides® are available wherever retail books are sold. If a book is not available at your favorite store, you can order the book directly from the publisher (Channel Lake, Inc.) via this Web site, or by contacting us.

Retail Orders

The best way for retail customers to order a Tourist Town Guides® book is to buy them from a local bookstore. If your favorite bookstore does not carry the title you are interested in, you can make a special order with them. You can also order through popular online bookstores such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. To find popular online bookstores that carry our titles, see the Travel Books section of this website for a direct link to these sites.

Publisher-Direct Orders

Retail customers can also order directly from us by using the "Add to Cart" buttons on the book detail pages via http://www.touristtown.com/books. Our payment services provider is PayPal, but you don't even need a PayPal account - just provide your payment information and your order will be processed and shipped immediately.

Shipping Charges and sales tax

Channel Lake, Inc. charges a shipping and handling fee of 18% of the total purchase price, up to a maximum of $6.50 per order, for all orders shipping to the continentual U.S. Please contact us first if you would like to place an order to be shipped internationally, and we will provide you with shipping rates. Orders shipped to New York will incur a charge of 8% sales tax.

Pre-Orders

In most cases, Channel Lake, Inc. accepts orders for upcoming titles before the publication. These orders are shipped as soon as the new book or edition is ready to ship. In most cases, books ordered before their publiction date will be shipped to the buyer before they are available in bookstores. Special Sales

Some books may be available for volume discounts that are greater than the standard volume discount. These sales are available in limited quantities and for a limited time. If you have received an offer of a "Special Sales" discount, please refer to the offer for details. Contact Us if you have questions.

Book Trade Wholesale Orders

Bookstores, Libraries, and Book Wholesalers: Channel Lake, Inc.'s books are available though numerous popular wholesalers including Baker & Taylor, Ingram, and others. Please contact your wholesaler or our distributor, Midpoint Trade Books, for details on availability.

Others: Wholesale orders outside the book trade may be placed directly with Channel Lake, Inc. Please see the Printable Order Form and Discount schedule for more specific information. If you are a business customer or wish to place a resale order online with a credit card, you may do so from our online Resale Order Form.

Purchase Orders

Channel Lake, Inc. accepts purchase orders faxed or sent on your company's letterhead to the address or fax number above. P Please include your phone number and/or e-mail address on the purchase order in case we have questions. In most cases, invoices are included with the shipment but in some cases you may be billed separately.

Returns Policy

All books ordered publisher-direct are subject to our Returns Policy, as follows:

"You may return any or all of the books ordered from Channel Lake, Inc. (less shipping & handling) within 30 days after the books have shipped, as long as the book remains in print and is in re-saleable condition. To return books, ship them to the above address, along with your original receipt (returns without receipts are not accepted). Returns are credited against prior amounts owed, or refunded."
